Sharon Rae Heck, age 60, died of a stroke/heart attack Friday morning, July 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Boone County Hospital. At press time, services were pending.

Sharon was born Oct. 30, 1945 in Ames and grew up in Gilbert. She was confirmed in the Gilbert Lutheran Church. Sharon graduated from Ames High School n 1963 and worked in Des Moines, where she met and married her husband, Gary L. Heck. Together they had a son, Eric, who is married to Crystal (Cuillen) Heck. Sharon also worked at The Cottage on Broad in Story City.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Gary; her son, Eric; and brother, Stanley Russell of Ames.
