Lynn Marie Prosser-Volker, 47, of Moline, Ill., died Sunday, June 24, at Genesis Medical Center West in Davenport, after a courageous battle with cancer. A memorial service was Friday, June 29, in Rock Island, Ill.

Lynn Marie Prosser-Volker was born Aug. 20, 1959, in Davenport, the daughter of Adair and Lois (Savage) Prosser. She married Christopher Volker May 22, 1993. She was a graduate of Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. After several years in the lending industry, she returned to Western Illinois University to complete a master's degree in gerontology. She was then employed as the senior services supervisor at Friendly House in Davenport.

She served on the boards of Western Illinois University Alumni, Senior Voice and Alzheimer's Association-Greater Iowa Chapter. She also was actively involved with the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation and led the local support group.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher Volker; her mother, Lois Prosser, and one sister, Janet Gilland, both of Rock Island, Ill.; her father- and mother-in-law, Roger and Carol Volker, of Ames; and brothers-in-law and spouses, Paul Volker and Barbara Gaddis, of Boone, and Timothy and Kate Volker, of Baku, Azerbaijan.

She was preceded in death by her father.
