THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 7, 2007.

William "Bill" Johnston, 69, of Mountain Home, Ark., and formerly of Ames, died Wednesday, June 6. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Kirby and Family Funeral Service of Mountain Home, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.

William "Bill" Johnston, 69, of Mountain Home, Ark., and formerly of Ames, died Wednesday, June 6. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 11, in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Bill was a police detective with the Ames Police Department and a security guard at the National Animal Disease Center in Ames before retiring to Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Keigley Johnston, of Mountain Home, Ark.; two sons, Bradley Olson, of Atlanta, and Richard Olson, of Clive; four daughters, Allison Matson, of Illinois, Heidi Coney, of Ames, April Johnston, of Ames, and Leigh Flowers, of Mountain Home, Ark.; and his mother, Pearl Johnston, of Onawa.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home, Ark.
