Leila Blackburn died Thursday, April 26, in Las Vegas. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., in Las Vegas.

Leila Blackburn was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Ames. She was a Nevada resident for more than 20 years. Lee was a retired Ames business owner/operator.

Lee is survived by two sons, Terry Blackburn, of Las Vegas, and Jon Whattoff; three grandchildren, Kevin Whattoff, of Orange County, Calif., Sherry Hyatt and Madyson Blackburn; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Blackburn; and one grandson, Kurt Whattoff.

Those who knew and loved Lee will miss her very much. She's with her Davey now.
