Cora Mae Gummert, age 78, of Radcliffe, died on Friday, April 27, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Radcliffe with Rev. Michael Herschberger officiating. She will be buried in Radcliffe Cemetery in Radcliffe.
The family will receive friends at Boeke Funeral Home in Radcliffe from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 30.

Cora Mae Gummert, 78, of Radcliffe, died Friday, April 27. Funeral services were today at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Radcliffe, with the Rev. Michael Herschberger officiating. Burial was in Radcliffe Cemetery.
Cora Mae Gummert was born April 30, 1928, in Radcliffe, to Nelius and Karen (Hodnefield) Ullestad. She lived most of her life in Radcliffe. She graduated from Radcliffe High School in 1946 and started to work as a telephone operator that same year. She married Paul Gummert Aug. 31, 1957, and moved to Hubbard, returning to Radcliffe in April 1974. When all of her children were in school, she started to work at Bethany Manor in the kitchen and worked there for more than 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Gummert, of Radcliffe; three daughters, Roxann Gummert, of Radcliffe, Patty Vestweber, of Radcliffe, and Terri (Bryan) Schoppe, of Jewell; one son, Kent (Deanne) Gummert, of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Justin Schoppe, Jeremy Vestweber, Jessica Vestweber and Jack Gummert; one brother, Dr. Rev. Norman (Marilyn) Ullestad, of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelius and Karen Ullestad.
Boeke Funeral Home, of Radcliffe, is in charge of arrangements.
