Blanche Glasson, 104, of Ames, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Arrangements are pending with Adams Funeral Home.

Blanche M. Glasson, 104, of Ames, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Mary Greeley Medical Center of complications from pneumonia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Adams Funeral Home in Ames with the Rev. Al Aiton officiating. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Blanche M. Glasson was born Oct. 18, 1902, in Duluth, Minn., and had lived in Ames since 1927. She was a member of St. John's by the Campus Episcopal Church and Ames Woman's Club. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising two sons and helping her husband at his business.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas, of Pontiac, Mich., and Leonard, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard T. Glasson, in November 1996.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 5, at Adams Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. John's by the Campus Episcopal Church in Ames.
