Mark Anthony Henderson, 48, of Story City, died Sunday, Feb. 25, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 2, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in rural Gilbert.

Mark Anthony Henderson was born Dec. 20, 1958, in Story City, to Donald E. and Marcella (Meimann) Henderson. He worked as a finish carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Henderson, of Story City; one son, Patrick Donald Henderson, at home; two daughters, Sara Michelle Henderson, of Atlanta, and Morgan Anne Henderson, at home; one brother, Merrill, of Austin, Minn.; and two sisters, Jo Marie (Jim) Shold, of Ramsey, Minn., and Mary Lynn Henderson, of Story City.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., with the family present after 5 p.m., Thursday, March 1, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Morgan and Patrick's education.
