Geneva Ruth Satre, 93, of Story City, died Thursday, Feb. 22, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Stanhope. Burial will follow at Lake Center Cemetery, rural Stanhope. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Geneva Ruth Satre was born July 13, 1913, in Boone County, to Joseph and Lilly Wheeler. She married Hilford Satre in 1940. He died in 2001. She moved to Story City in January 2007, and had lived in Webster City and Stanhope. Geneva had been an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Stanhope.

She is survived by one sister, Irene Johnson, of Story City; one nephew, LeRoy Johnson, of Story City; and one niece, Janet Johnson, of Ames.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Paul Hilford Satre; one sister, Leora Thorson; two nephews; and one niece.
