Donna Buhman of Ames died today at home. Arrangements are pending with Adams Funeral Home.

Donna Lee Buhman, 64, of Ames, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, at home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Joel Wight Hoogheem officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Donna Lee Buhman was born June 29, 1942, in Ames, to Arthur C. and Doris V. (Short) Nelson. She graduated from Ames High School in 1960. She married Harold Buhman Feb. 25, 1967, at Bethesda Lutheran Church. She was a bookkeeper for HCS Builders.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church, Laura Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, S.I.S. Social Sorority Group, Margaret Stanton Chapter in 310 Questors Group and Heart of Iowa Chapter of the P. Buckley Moss Society. She enjoyed craftwork, quilting, sewing, collecting P. Buckley Moss and spending time with family, children and grandchildren and her friends.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Buhman, of Ames; one son, Brian Buhman, of Chicago; one daughter, Kimberly Buhman (Patrick Hein), of West Lafayette, Ind.; two grandchildren, Sophia Hein and Samuel Hein; two sisters, Frances Roberg, of Johnston, and Suzanne (Jerry) Miller, of Waukee; and one brother, William A. (Sharon) Nelson, of Ames.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
