Keltner, Fred "Junior"
Oct. 22, 1925-Jan. 27, 2007

Fred Junior Keltner, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 27, at Bethany Manor in Story City under the care of Bethany Manor staff and Mary Greeley Homeward Hospice. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City with full military honors. Burial will be at a later date in Sheffield Cemetery of rural Story City.

Fred Junior Keltner was born Oct. 22, 1925, to William and Ethel (Davis) Keltner. He married Norma June Jacobs July 20, 1946. Two sons were born to this union, Martin (Marty) and David, both being born on Fred's birthday.

He is survived by one son David, of Renton, Wash.; two granddaughters, Wendy (Kendall) Rice and Laura (Ron) Freeman; one great-granddaughter, Jessica Rice; three great-grandsons, Juston Rice, Jeremy and Jason Freeman, all of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Legion Story City Post.
