THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 24, 2007.

Roger G. Swenson, 63, formerly of Jewell, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Stratford Care Center in Stratford. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at Harvest Evangelical Free Church in Story City. Burial will follow the service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Jewell.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Swenson, of rural Jewell; his mother, Signe Swenson, of Story City; three sons, James (Kerra) Swenson, of rural Jewell, Bryan (Brenda) Swenson, of rural Jewell, and Eric (Krista) Swenson, of Minneapolis; one daughter, Kathy (Dean) Martensen, of Jewell; one sister, Rhonda Keller, of Mansfield, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Cassie, Trevor, Jenna, Jessie and Cody.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, with the family present after 5 p.m at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

A memorial has been established in his name.
