THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, January 11, 2007.

Irma W. Winslow, 93, of Corydon, died Friday, Jan. 5. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at New Zion Church, five miles west of Corydon.

Irma and her husband, Harry, farmed near Allerton. She was active in Farm Bureau Women, Iowa Pork Producers and many other groups.

From 1982 to 2004, she lived in Ames. An advocate of lifelong learning, she was proud of being the oldest student at Iowa State University. She received a bachelor of liberal studies degree in 1985 and bachelor of fine arts degree in 1997.

She was active in Collegiate United Methodist Church and especially enjoyed knowing and helping students from other countries.

She is survived by her children, Roger Winslow, of Corydon, Shirley Pratt, of Needham, Mass., and Pat Anton, of Hawley, Pa.

Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon.
