Wayne E. Nordholm, 70, of Boone, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Boone County Hospital in Boone. Services are pending with Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home at Fifth and Story streets in Boone.

Wayne E. Nordholm, 70, of Boone, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Boone County Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone, with the Rev. Lindsay Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Nordholm, of Boone; one daughter, Vicky Fagerland and her husband, David, of Nevada; three sons, Tim Nordholm and his wife, Gail, of Story City, Mark Nordholm and his wife, Gwen, of Maxwell, and Troy Nordholm and his wife, Sheri, of Boone; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home at Fifth and Story streets in Boone. Visitation will continue from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the funeral home, then from noon to the time of service at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family to be used at its discretion.

Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home at Fifth and Story streets in Boone is in charge of arrangements.
