Wilma E. Burdick, 90, died on Nov. 24.The visitation for this service will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ruthven.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Luther Thoresen officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ruthven.
Burdick was born on January 19, 1916, in Honey Creek to William John and Edith A. (League) McIntosh. Burdick received her education in Honey Creek and Missouri Valley. She taught school for three years at Honey Creek No. 9.
On Feb. 29, 1936, she was united in marriage to Paul Botos Jr. in Missouri Valley. To this union six children were born. The Burdicks moved to Graettinger in the 1940s. In 1949, they moved to Ruthven.
She was employed at B&M Produce in Ruthven for five years and later the Farmers Coop Elevator retiring in 1978.
Paul died in 1963. She later married Clifford Burdick on March 11, 1971. She loved music, dancing with Paul and gardening. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and Circle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul; second husband, Clifford; two sons, John Botos and an infant; a brother; and five sisters.
She is survived by her children, Barbara J. Royer and her husband, Gary, of Ames, Joseph P. Botos and his wife, Cathy, of Wayzata, Minn., Elizabeth R. Thornburg and her husband, John, of Ogden, Paul W. Botos and his wife, Libby, of Baton Rouge, La., and daughter-in-law, Judith A. Botos, of Ames; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Tresse; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and many friends.
