THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, November 21, 2006.

Paul Tomlinson, 82, died Friday, Nov. 17, at McAllen Heart Hospital in Texas. Graveside services will be at a later date in Iowa.

Paul Tomlinson was born in Minnesota but lived most of his life in Iowa. He was a graduate of Cambridge High School and was a veteran of World War II. He spent 33 years working at Iowa State University. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Mission, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one daughter, Treva (Douglas) Reed, of Spanish Fork, Utah; four grandsons, Chad Junkermeier, Paul W. Tomlinson, Jon Reed and Scott Reed; four great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Victoria Tomlinson; two brothers, Charles and Melvin; one sister, Ruth Knaack; and two sisters-in-law, Neoma Tomlinson and Margie Porter.

He was preceded in death by one son, Bruce; and two brothers, Leslie and Rex.

Services are under the direction of Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission, Texas.
