Ams newspaper, 1976 Theodore B Heggen, Sr., 92, formerly of 1017 Duff Ave. died Friday, June 25, at 1 p.m. Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Adams Funeral Home. The Rev F Paul Goodland of the Episcopal Parish of Ames will officiate. Burial is in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Arcadia Lodge 249 will confer Masonic services. All Masons are to meet at the Masonic Temple at 10 a.m. Monday. Mr Heggen was born June 4, 1884 in Story County to Ole and Anna Heggen. He was a lifetime resident of the area. Mr Heggen was a cement contractor, later being employed at the Iowa Highway Commission. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Ames York Rite Bodies. Mr Heggen was a 50-year Mason and also a 50-year member of IOOF. Mr Heggen married Fannie Epperson June 8, 1913 in Carroll. She preceded him in death October 30, 1972. He is survived by two sons, Theodore B Heggen, Jr of 2611 Kellogg Ave and Donald L. Heggen of Des Moines and five grandchildren. Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
