Stephen Lee Cohen, 52, of rural Colo, died on Thursday, Nov. 16, at home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Herbert Schiller officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Steve was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Glens Falls, N.Y., to John M. Cohen and Elaine M. (Smith) Cohen. He was a 1972 graduate of Glens Falls, N.Y. High School. He also attended Drake University. He married Barbara Jo Halverson Oct. 30, 1976, in Des Moines. He served as a vice president for Innova Ideas and Services in Ames. He will be remembered as a great husband and father. He enjoyed playing the guitar and helping people.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cohen, of rural Colo; his father, John (Linda) Cohen, of Roswell, Ga.; his mother, Elaine Wehmeyer, of San Antonio, Texas; one son, Jesse Cohen, of Phoenix; two daughters, Beth (Jerry) Wright and Britt Cohen, all of Harrisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren, Quincy, Amaya, Jerry Wright and Soraya Cohen; two brothers, Jonathan Cohen, of Sun Valley, Idaho, and Brad (Terry) Cohen, of the Netherlands; and three step brothers, Matthew, Mark and Ted Tallman.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 tonight at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established.
