Mrs J. E. Lanning Taken By Death. Friends of Mrs J. E. Lanning were shocked to learn of her death which occurred at the home on East Avenue last evening about 8 o'clock. Mrs Lanning had been in ill health for some time, but hopes for her complete recovery had been entertained until the last. Her death takes from a famly circle a devoted wife and mother and deprives a host of friends of the companionship of a noble woman. Mrs Lanning was but 38 years old and her untimely death leaves her husband and two sons aged 17 and 11 years. Her father D. L. Lang, brother Frank Lang, and sisters Mrs Charles Kooser and Mrs Carl Wilson of Moscow, Idaho, are sorrowing relatives. The funeral has been set for tomorrow at 2:30 from the home. Dr. Cessna will read the funeral services.
