Roxianne 'Roxie' Reyerson
Jan. 7, 1950-Nov. 5, 2006Roxianne "Roxie" Reyerson, 56, of Nevada, died Sunday, Nov. 5, at Mercy Medical Center- North Iowa in Mason City. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Pastor David Burling officiating. Inurnment will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.
Roxie Reyerson was born Jan. 7, 1950, in Mason City, the daughter of John Raymond and Vivian (Dahl) Thoen. She married Travis Reyerson Sept. 25, 1971, at Elk Creek Lutheran Church in Kensett.
She graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1968 and from the University of Northern Iowa in 1976. She was a special education teacher at Central Elementary in Nevada.
She was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, garage sales, her pets, flowers and dancing. She loved her students, friends and her family. She loved to help anyone in need.
She is survived by her husband, Travis Reyerson, of Nevada; two sons, Brant (Annie) Reyerson, of Ankeny, and Clint Reyerson, of Phoenix; her mother, Vivian Thoen, of Kensett; two brothers, Dennis (LaBonnie) Thoen, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Dallas Thoen, of Kensett; and five sisters, Sandi Miner, of Northwood, Bonnie Stanton, of Palm Harbor, Fla., Patti Edenfield, of Kensett, Sherry Burns, of Waterford, Wis., and Shelly Thoen, of Fort Dodge.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Thoen; and three brothers, Rodney and two in infancy.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.
Memorials may be made to the Roxie Reyerson Memorial Fund.
