Maryann Lopeman, 62, of Nevada, died Sunday, Oct. 8, at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Hines officiating. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.Maryann Lopeman was born April 14, 1944, in Thayer, Kan., to LeRoy and Mary (Smeadley) Lopeman. She was a custodian at Iowa State University. She loved Jesus, enjoyed old movies and crafting, and helping elderly citizens with cleaning, shopping and running errands.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Jeff) Heldenbrand, of Missouri, Cindy (Butch) Oxley, of Nevada, Russ (Patty) Brittain, of Ogden, and Tom (Christin) Brittain, of South Carolina; three sisters, JoAnn Dickerson, of Humboldt, Kan., Phyllis Taylor, of Story City, and Arlene Nagel, of Jewell; seven grandchildren, Matt, Travis, Jake, Justin, Danny, Dakota and Elizabeth; and two great-grandchildren, Savanah and Kaylee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Nadine; one granddaughter, Jennifer; and her first husband, Dallas Dickerson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Adams Funeral Home.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
