THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Saturday, October 7, 2006.

Doris B. Johnson, 95, of Story City and formerly of Roland, died Friday,Oct. 6, at Bethany Manor, Story City.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.
Doris was born Dec. 29, 1910. She was a longtime secretary at the Roland Schools and then Roland-Story Schools.
She is survived by two brothers, Ingvald Birkeland of Billings, Mont., and Robert Birkeland (Mazel), of Roland; a sister, Donna Lachowicz of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; a sister, Corene Larson, and two grand-nephews.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Bethany Manor. Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Bethany Manor.
