Dolores Ann Ketelsen, 88, of Ames, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Bethesda Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randy Gehring officiating.

Dolores was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Riverdale, Ill., to parents Edward and Dorothy (Warning) Kipley. She has lived in Ames since 1954, with other residences including Newton. She was a homemaker.

She married Arthur Ketelsen Oct. 25, 1941, in Riverdale, Ill. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and PEO, and enjoyed painting and bird watching.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur, of Ames; one son, Randy (Mary) Ketelsen, of Bemidji, Minn.; one sister, Mary Quandt, of Munster, Ind.; four grandchildren, Dan, Mike, Andrea and Alyssa; and one daughter-in-law, Kathy Ketelsen, of Ames.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jim.

Memorials are requested to Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
