Carol Long
Carol I. Long, 78, of Collins died on Tuesday, July 25, at the Story County Medical Center Long Term Care in Nevada.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 28, at the Collins Christian Church with Pastors Scott Jones and Dean Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.

Carol was born on Oct. 24, 1927, in Jasper County to Fred and Verda (Hinshaw) Kimberley. She was a graduate of Collins High School. On May 29, 1946, Carol married Forrest Long in Des Moines. She and her husband farmed their land together. Carol was a member of the Collins Christian Church. She enjoyed University of Iowa basketball and loved being with her family.
