Faye N. Luing, 80, died Tuesday, July 18, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, at Adams Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Faye was born May 11, 1926, in Story City to Howard (Pat) and Bergithe (Skeie) Rude. After graduating from Ames High School, she became a bookkeeper at Mathison Motor Company for seven years prior to her marriage to Wendell Luing.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years. Also surviving are their daughter, Jan, son-in-law, James Hallock and her two grandsons, Austin and Tanner, all of Littleton, Colo.; one sister Betty Cochran of Denver, Colo.; and one brother, Gene (Joanne) Rude of Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 20, at Adams Funeral Home.
