Jane Sze G, Shih, a beloved mother, died at around 6:25 a.m. (China time) Sunday, June 11, in Shenyang, China, where she was vacationing and then became critically ill and couldn't return to the United States. The cause of her death is diabetic complications.

During her last days, she was surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Audrey Shih, her sisters and their families, and Chuen Yan, a loving nurse who took care of her 24/7 for almost a year. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted, loving, talented and creative individual who was full of life and energy. She devoted her entire life supporting her husband, Dr. Soh-Chao Shih, who died March 27, 2002, in Michigan, and her family.

She is survived by one older brother; four younger sisters; three children, Tom, Judy and Gina; and six grandchildren, Marie, George, Elizabeth, James, Ellen and Kyle.

A memorial service was June 13 in Shenyang, China. A memorial service in the United States will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 29, at Chinese Bible Church of San Diego, 12335 World Trade Drive, Suite 2, San Diego, CA, 92128.
