The Roland Record, Roland, Story County, Iowa, May 1, 1896.

JOHNSON
Death has again visited a home in our community and made sad the hearts of the members of that household and the many friends of the deceased.

Miss Hannah Johnson, aged 26 years, a daughter of Mr. Truls Johnson, living 5 1/2 miles south-east of town, died, at the home of her parents, last Sunday evening at 9 o'clock. The remains were brought to the east church in Roland, where services were conducted by Rev. Holter, at two o'clock Tuesday.

Miss Johnson had been slowly failing, for the past thirteen months, under the strain of that dreaded monster, consumption, until the black messenger of death placed his hand on her and called her home, as it has with two of her sisters, who have been visited by the same desease within the past few years. Thus one more young life is cut short, in the very prime of its usefulness and another is left vacant in the family circle. The Record extends sympathy to the sorrowing relatives.
