Another Child Killed

Little Ida Savim Trampled Under the Hoofs of a Horse and Dies Within a Few Hours

The Terrorized Father Witnessed the Horrible Scene

Again we are called upon to chronicle a horrible accident resulting in the death of a little girl. Tuesday afternoon, Ida, the two-year old daughter of T. O. Savim and wife was playing in the yard at home when a horse broke loose and running into the yard where the child was playing, knocked the little thing down and trampled her body under foot before the father, who witnessed the horrible scene, could hasten to her rescue. Mr. Savim and wife drove immediately to town with the child and on examination by Dr. Soule it was found that the horse had stepped on her chest and death, resulting from internal injuries was inevitable. The end came about sundown.

The funeral services were held yesterday at 3:00 at the east church by G. O. Paulsrud and a large concourse of people attended. The community sympathize with the parents in hours of their sad affliction.
