Joseph Purley Alderman (1843 - 1918) Last Will & Testament

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN: I, Joseph P. Alderman, of the town of Ames, in the county of Story, and state of Iowa, of the age of Sventy One years, past, and being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and tetament, in manner folling - this is to say:
FIRST. I give and bequeath to my wife, Marthy Alderman, all of my property boath real and personal, as long as she lives, and at her death I bequath equaly between the following named children, Alvira Jane Alderman, Mary A. Alderman, Vinton L. Alderman, Fred E. Alderman, Burton H Alderman, Purly S. Aldaerman, Daisy Alderman, James B. Alderman, and I bequath to Marthy L. Alderman, Five & ($5.00) No/100 dollars.
And, lastly, I do hereby appoint my Son Vinton L. Alderman, to be the executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made made. Said Executor shall be without bonds.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 22d day of February 1915.

Alderman, as and for his last will and testament, in presence of us, who, at his request, and in his presence, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
