RESISTS OFFICER WHEN ARRESTED - TEN OTHER MEN GO ON WEEK-END SPREE

Eleven drunks were arrested during the past two days most of them being taken in yesterday. One was determined that no one should interfere with the good time he thought he was having, and very strenuously resisted when Deputy Art McCoy arrested him. He put up such a fierce fight that it was either necessary to have help or use a club was used to help quiet his agitated temper. The doctor was then called to sew up his head. He was all right this morning and is sorry for his violent action of yesterday. He is to appear before the mayor to answer for it all this evening.

Of the other drunks all but one were able to pay their fine. A foreigner who had no money was turned loose on condition that he would immediately leave town. He left. An auto driver was arrested to turning around in the middle of a block but as it was his first offense he was given the minimum fine which amounted to $3.00.
