Blast, fire, kill Iowa G.I.

Tokyo (AP) - Henry D. Reynolds, 25, Zearing, Iowa, was injured fatally Monday in an explosion and fire at Misawa Air Force Base, about 180 miles north of Tokyo.

Reynolds was extracted from under burning radio equipment by Corporal William R. Henry, Steubenville, Ohio, who ran into the building despite the spreading flames. Henry has been recommended for the soldier's medal, the army said.

Reynolds' mother is Mrs. Dora C. Reynolds of Zearing.
