Peter G. Egenes Family

The Peter G. Egenes family came to Warren Township from Benton Co. in 1881. They lived on a farm in Section 4 (now farmed by Franklin Lee) and later in Section 11.

In 1896, the family moved into town. Egenes was employed as a janitor at the new brick schoolhouse 1910 until 1918. The son, Peter (1889-1963) became a farmer and also was township assessor, 1918-1928. He also served on the school board as a secretary and later as president of the board.

Martin (1892-1954) worked at the Farmer's Grain and later as manager at Albert City and Callendar.

Otis Egenes (1896-1962) was the depot agent on the Iowa Central (1916-1921) before being transferred to Roland, Union and Albert Lea, Minn.
