My name is Brenda Lincke Fisseler and I am a member of the Lavaca County, Texas Historical Commission. I am attempting to locate someone in Sioux County that would be able to assist me with a project.

As part of a WWII project, I am attempting to locate information on Theodore G. Sneider and hopefully be able to locate members of his family. Theodore was killed on October 2, 1942 in Lavaca County, Texas in a crash of his training plane. Theodore was a member of the Army Air Corp flying out of Ellington Field in Houston, Texas at the time of his death. On his death certificate, his hometown was given as Hawarden, Iowa. I was hoping to locate someone in Sioux County who might be willing to work with me on this project. I need to find out if his death and/or obituary was mentioned in any of the local newspapers, locate his burial place and most importantly, find someone in his family that is still living. Is there anyone in your group who might be interested in helping me? I would truly appreciate it and would be willing to share any information I have on my end with them in return.
