John Vogelzang. John was b. 24 Jun 1904 d. May 1980 in Harlan, Shelby Co., IA. He is listed with family on the 1930 Census records for Westfield Twp., Plymouth Co., IA.

I am his step-great grandson, and recently having been tracing the family line back to discover our last name is only Vogelzang because John and his wife Gertrude Timmons called my grandfather that, though it wasnt his real last name until he changed it at the age of 62, before that his name was Robert Timmons, but I am curious as to the Vogelzang side of our family before their time, I am currently in touch with a woman who is helping me with the Timmons side. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
