Hello:
I have found some info that may be helpful. On the familysearch.org site I found they were married 13 Apr 1847 in Snyer? PA. Also, that her parents may have been John Jeremiah Repass and Catherine Stelter, Sarah being born 1817 in Union Co. PA. It defintely states in the Iowa 1895 census Sarah Riegel age 77 born in PA was living with son Ben in Sioux County IA. In the ancestry.com site her death is listed as 1892 and 1895 however she was alive in 1895. I found on the ancestry site a Sarah Riegel died 26 Mar 1898 and is buried in Reading Penn. She possibly was buried back home then or maybe not the same Sarah? I have searched the Sioux County death records as well as the WPA death index and no record of her death exists, but that is not unusual as not many were reocrded back then. I have checked our Sioux county newspaper site and many references to Ben Riegel but not any found for Sarah.
