Dear Kees:
I will try to help you with your Query on the DeBoer name. There are so many different DeBoer families who aren't directly associated with eachother in this area. Two DeBoers by the name of Louis and Charles in the Sioux Center Centennial Book were born different dates.
Louis was born Nov. 8, 1899 to Klaas and Kathrine DeBoer. Louis came to the USA at 4 yrs.
Tjeerd DeBoer married to Froukje VanderWeg came to the USA 1892. So he would have been older.
Let me do some digging (searching) and see if I can find the family in the census to associate the right family. I will be in touch. Wilma J. Vande Berg
