It will take some research in the Pella area to find out for sure which Mrs. J. "John" Steenhoek this is that died 1890. In the 1856 census there was John Steenhoek b. 1829 Neth. and wife Maria b. abt 1831 Neth. living in Marion County IA. In the 1885 census there was a John Steenhoek b. 1862 married to a Jane b. 1863. Will check the Pella deaths to determine more.
