Hello:
I couldn't find a birth record for Bernardt Schimming as of now, will do some more checking. However, he is listed in the 1900 census of Washington Township Sioux County as born Aug 1890 Iowa to Frederick Schimming b. Dec 1840 (Sioux county cemetery index listed birth as 1 Dec 1841) His mother was Augusta Griese Schimming b. Feb 1850. His father was Fred Schimming. The children listed in the census were Charles 24, Amos 20, Bertha 17, and Benjamin/Bernhardt age 9.
In the 1925 IA State Census Benj J. Schimming b. abt 1891, he was living at Paullina, O'Brien County at the time. His wife was Louise and they had one child Bennis age 3.
In the same census Louise's parents were listed as Fred Riedermann and Dora Weseman.
