I have found some information for you on the Peter Verschoor family.
1900 Fed. census Peter and Wife Maria were living in Sioux County, Floyd Tsp., town of Hospers, IA.
He was born Apr 1843 in the Netherlands, immigrated in 1888.
Right now I will expand upon his ancestry for you.
His wife was Maria Van Dyk as recored in the 1925 census of the children.
On the site www.genlias.nl I found that Peter Verschoor and Maria VanDyk married Sep 6, 1880 at Dussem Brabants. Pieter Joope Verschoor was the son of Jacob Rombout Verschoor and Mari Mosselmans. Maria was the daughter of Bernardus Antonie VanDijk and Wilhelmina Clercx.
I further found that
Jacob Rombout Verschoor b. 17 May 1807 Dussem marrin Maria Mosselmans b. 5 May 1812 Rijswijk at Rijswijk Brabants on May 10 1833.
Jacob's father was Peter Verschoor and Hendrik Ronbout, Maria's paretns were Maria Kant and Willem Mosselmans.
