I found the families of Henry Bos and John Koldenhoven living in Elgin and Fredonia townships in northern Plymount County IA. That would be quite near Carnes IA.
The family of John Koldenhoven was in Garfield Twnsp Sioux County in 1920, then in Fredonia Tsp Plymouth County in 1930. The family of Henry Bos was in Elgin tsp. in both 1920 and 1930 census. If you send my your address I can forward copies of the census records to you. The marriages of the childlren most likely occurred in Plymouth county if living there. YOu would have to contact the NW IA Gen. Soc for that information. If you don't have ancestors of these families I can easily get that information for you from the site www.genlias.nl .
