In Response To: Searching info on WIGGERMAN FAMILY, circa 1900 (Harry VanNoy)

From page 30 of "Rock Valley Records and Recollections", in May 1892 Euda Wiggerman parents came from Loretta, Tennessee to Rock Valley, Iowa arriving to a typical Iowa snowstorm in May. Euda Wiggerman was born Sept 28, 1892 (birth date from her tombstone).

The following information is from the "Rock Valley Bee" newspapers.
* May 19, 1911 issue, the senior class entertained the juniors at the home of Euda Wiggerman Tuesday evening.
* March 7, 1919 issue, Miss Euda Wiggerman, who is in the civil service work at Washington D.C., writes home giving an interesting description of a big parade in honor of President Wilson.
* Sept 5, 1919 issue, Miss Euda Wiggerman, who held a civil service position in Washington D.C. for the past six months, arrived home Saturday and is back in her old position as cashier in the Foppe Pioneer store.
* July 29, 1932 issue, Miss Euda Wiggerman and Mr Harvey A. Barnard were united in marriage Tuesday morning.
* May 7, 1964 issue, Funeral service were held for Harvey Barnard. Mr Barnard died in Bradenton Memorial Hospital on April 24, 1964 while spending the winter season in Palmetta, Florida.
* August 8, 1984, Euda Barnard, 91, of Palmetta, Flordia, formerly of Rock Valley, died Monday (July 30, 1984) in Palmetto.

They are both buried in the St. Mary's cemetery in Rock Valley, Iowa. Their tombstone pictures can be viewed on the "IA Gravestone Photo project" on the web. Our web page has a link to that web site.
