FORMER RESIDENT DEAD

News was received in Rock Valley the first of the week of the death of
James Lundy, of South Hartford, New York, a, former well-known resident of Rock Valley, who moved from here several years ago, and his many friends here regret to hear of his death.
Mr. Lundy died May 1, 1922, at his home at South Hartford, his death being due to paralysis. He had reached the advanced age of eighty-three years.
A dispatch from a paper published at South Hartford follows:
James Lundy, 83, of Hartford, died yesterday morning at South Hartford.
He was a veteran of the Civil war. The surviving relatives are a son, James Eugene Lundy; two sisters, Mrs. George Rice and Mrs. Henry McNeil, and a brother William Lundy.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon from the South Hartford Congregational church at 2:00 standard time. Interment will be made in Hartford."
( In the 1885 census of Rock Tsp, Sioux County James Lundy was born about 1840 in Ireland, his wife was Kate (Catherine) children were Emma 15 born NY, Ida 13 born in NY and Eugene 1 born in Ia. In the marriage record of Ida to Wm Ludolph it mentioned her mother was Catherine McDonald.)
