Hulda O. Drunagel

Mrs. Hulda O. Drunagel, of 1904 S. Locust, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She had been in the hospital for the past three weeks.

She was born in Maurice, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Osterman and Doris C. Mueller Osterman.

She came to Pittsburg in 1918 to attend Kansas State College and graduated with B.S. and M.S. degrees. She taught at Lakeside Elementary School and at Pittsburg High School before her marriage to Frank F. Drunagel on Aug. 1, 1926, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pittsburg.

He formerly owned the Drunagel Clothing Store at 408 N. Broadway. He died May 22, 1960. Following his death, she taught at Lakeside Junior High School for four years.

In 1964, she accepted a teaching position at St. Paul's Junior College, Concordia, Mo. She retired in 1972 and moved back to Pittsburg.

She was a long time member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Chapter CJ of the PEO.

She is survived by one son, Karl F. Drunagel, of the home, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Woodrow W. Kurth officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the Brenner Chapel.
