Milton Wayne Sandbulte, 64, of Carmel died Saturday, March 23, 1996 at the Community Hospital in Sioux Center.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Carmel Reformed Church. The Rev. Brad Langstraat officiated. Burial was in the Carmel Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Milton was born Aug. 26, 1931 on a farm near Carmel, the son of Henry and Minerva (Wesselink) Sandbulte.

He attended country school at Carmel and graduated from Sioux Center High School in 1948. He attended Northwestern College in Orange City.

On Dec. 12, 1951 he married Thelma Van Berkum at the Carmel Reformed Church. He served in the military service during the Korean War from 1953-1955. The couple returned to a farm near Carmel. She died in 1984. He continued to farm until his retirement.

Mr. Sandbulte was a member of the Carmel Reformed Church.

Survivors include four sons, Kevin, Victor and Keith, all of Sioux Center and Larry of Pella; two daughters, Cheryl of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Christy and her husband Darryl Zeutenhorst of Lebanon; three brothers, Bernard of Luverne, Minn., and Kenneth and Delmar, both of Carmel; six sisters, Johanna Punt of Sioux Center, Lois Van Maanen, Norma Boogerd, Carol Van Voorst and Muriel Oostra, all of Hull, and Henrietta Van Kley of Rock Valley; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, John, Delmar John, Norman, Harvey and James and two children, Michael and Connie.
