SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA ~ Amber Nicole Mace, 31, formerly of Hawarden, Iowa, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Porter Funeral Home with Pastor Samuel Ansong of the Hawarden United Methodist Church officiating.

Amber Nicole Mace was born September 4, 1992, in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Steve and Heather (Henderson) Mace. She graduated from West Sioux High School in 2011, where she was active in choir and played volleyball and softball. Amber worked at Wee Care in Hawarden and then as a counselor at the Girl Scout Camp in Walker, Minnesota. She moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota on June 22, 2021. Amber was currently working at JDS Industries.

Amber loved campfires and camping with her family. She enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, doing Diamond painting, music, and singing. Having fun with her friends and family was a special time for Amber. She loved to work with the little kids and really enjoyed Halloween (kitties!)

She is survived by her father, Steve Mace of Hawarden; mother, Heather Mace and stepfather Joshua Kremer of Hospers, Iowa; sister, Brittany (Seth Courtright) Mace of Hawarden and her children Bayleigh and Zander; step-brother, Bradly (Laura) Kremer of Sheldon, Iowa and their children Brooklynn and Braeden; step-sister, Alexis Kremer of Paullina, Iowa; step-brother, Michael Kremer of Orange City, Iowa; 2 grandmas, Mary Kelley of Hawarden and Marilyn Henderson of Rock Valley, Iowa; 2 uncles, William (Sara) Henderson of Hawarden and Ira (Andy) Bearbower of Madrid, Iowa; and 2 aunts, Teri (Charles) Kelley and Jeri Kelley all of Hawarden; step-aunt, Jody (Rick) Keiser of St. Paul, Minnesota; and step-uncle, Adam Kremer of Hawarden. Amber is also survived by her loving emotional support dog, Corona.

Amber was preceded in death by her 2 grandpas, Jerry Kelley and Ronald Henderson.
