Kevin Nobel, 64, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at his home in Le Mars surrounded by his family.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Rejoice! Community Church in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time and following the service during a time of lunch and fellowship, all at the church. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.rexwinkelfh.com.

Kevin Dale Nobel, the son of John and Marilyn (Wierda) Nobel, was born on July 22, 1959, in Sioux Center, Iowa. Early on, he attended school in Maurice, Iowa. In1967, he moved with his family to Le Mars. He graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1977.

Following his graduation, he began working in sales. He spent the majority of his time working alongside his father at the family business, Chemical Sanitizing Systems in Le Mars. After the family sold the business, he worked in sales at Motor Inn in Le Mars. After a brief time, he went to work at Rooster’s Harley Davidson in Sioux City before going to work at Northern Lights Food Service. He worked there until his retirement.

Kevin was united in marriage to Debra Plate on March 22, 1980. To this union, three children were born: Jonathan, Jamie, and Jeffery. They later divorced. He married Deborah Skinner Huser on December 29, 2018 in Le Mars. With this marriage, he gained two more children, Johnathan and Nicholas Huser.

Kevin was a member of Rejoice! Community Church in Le Mars. He was also active in the Le Mars Sportsman Club, where he enjoyed trap shooting. He also enjoyed hunting geese during his annual trip to North Dakota. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the Harley Davidson OwnerGroup. He also enjoyed model railroading, woodworking, and doing yardwork. His family was his greatest joy, especially spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah of Le Mars; a son: Jonathan Nobel of Delafield, WI, and his daughter, Briar; a daughter: Jamie (Jake) Huber of Le Mars, and their children, Holland and Hudson; a son: Jeffery (Maryrose) Nobel of Rapid City, SD, and their children, Ada, Makenna, Cora, and Harper; two step sons: Johnathan Huser and Nicholas Huser, both of Le Mars, IA; his mother, Marilyn Nobel of Le Mars, IA; two sisters: Roxanne Nobel of Grand Rapids, MI, and Paulette Nobel of Wellington, FL; his mother-in-law, Lorna Skinner of Sioux Falls, SD; two sisters-in-law, Angela Nelson of Sergeant Bluff, IA, and Sarah Skinner of Sioux Falls, SD; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Nobel; and his fathers-in-law, Arlen Skinner and Donald Plate.
