Peter, the 12 year old son of W. Postma, residing two miles west of Sheldon, was instantly killed last Wednesday when he was struck by an automobile occupied by Peter Van Horsen and family of Maurice. The accident occurred in front of the Sherwood School house. It is alleged that the boy was in the habit of crossing in front of approaching automobiles ‘just for fun’ The automobile was tipped over in an effort to avoid striking the boy and the occupants were spilled out but none of them were seriously injured. A parallel to this case occurred in Garfield township a year or two ago.
