Mrs. B. Van den Berg aged eighty one years died at the residence of her daugh

On Friday, at the home of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Harmelink, the elderly mother, Mrs. B. Van den Berg, died at the age of more than 82 years. Mrs. Van den Berg was born on the 19th of May in Oldenbroek, the Netherlands, and came to America 19 years ago with her first husband Mrs. Andries Verhoef (Hoeven), who was taken from her by death two weeks after her arrival here in Orange City, leaving her with 5 daughters, who now live with her. Mrs. J. Van Beek Springfield SD, Mrs. Harmelink of Newkirk, Mrs. Verhoef of Middleburg, Mrs. C. Van Beek of Sioux Center, and Mrs. J. Van der Maaten of Boyden.

A few years after her husband's death, she married Mr. B. Van den Berg, who also preceded her in death. Almost two years ago the deceased took up residence with her children Mr. and Mrs. Van der Maaten, where she was lovingly cared for, until very recently, she left for the children Mr. and Mrs. Harmelink in Newkirk, and there died. Mrs. B. Vande Berg was a loving woman and a praying mother, and it may be believed of her that she is now with her Saviour. The funeral service took place on Monday from the church of the Reformed church . at Middleburg and there she is buried, the service was conducted by Rev. Engelsman, of whose congregation the deceased was a member.

She was Geerjte Vis Hoeven 1828, She was married first to Dries Hoeven and had five daughters. After he died she married Beert Van Den Berg 1821-1902
