Mrs. Linda Anderson, age 69, of Hull, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Sioux Center Health.

A visitation with the family present will be held on Sunday, November 12, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. There will be a funeral service on Monday, November 13, at 10:00am, at the church with the Rev. Aaron Greydanus and the Rev. Timothy Ouwinga officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull. The Oolman Funeral Home in Hull is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Kae was born on November 4, 1954, in Sioux Center, the daughter of Andrew and Hilda (Hibma) Scholten. She was raised in Hull, where she attended the Hull Christian School and graduated from the Western Christian High School. She then received her nursing degree from Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City. After graduation, she pursued her calling by being a nurse for over 50 years. She lovingly cared for residents and patients at Sioux Center Health and Whispering Heights in Rock Valley.

She was united in marriage to Lynn Dale Anderson on April 13, 1973, at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. Lynn and Linda took many vacations with family and friends. They enjoyed traveling to many different places, but her favorite trips were with family to the Black Hills and Mexico.

Linda found great joy spending time with her circle of friends of more than 35 years. They shared many laughs, outings, and trips together, and made memories that will last a lifetime. Her garden was her happy place, where she spent many hours enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of more than 50 years, Lynn, of Hull; two children and their spouses, Nathaniel and Jodi Anderson, of Rock Valley; and Lindsey and John Pfingsten, of Boyden; six grandchildren, Alexis, and her husband, Trevor Koedam; Trevor Anderson and Andrew Anderson; and Landen, Addisen, and Aspen Pfingsten; one great-grandchild Koedam expected in January; a sister and her husband, Laura and Phil Mulder, of Doon; a brother and his wife, Alvin and Connie Scholten, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her mother-in-law, Mardell Anderson, of Sheldon; a sister-in-law, Diane Raynie, of Sheldon; and two brothers-in-law and their wives, Butch and Gail Anderson, of Sheldon; and Larry and Jean Anderson, of Red Oak.

In addition to her parents, Andrew (Opie) and Hilda Scholten, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Wayne Anderson; and a brother-in-law, Preston Raynie.

Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
