Mr. Keith Lambert, age 86, of Hull, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home.

A visitation with the family present will be held on Friday, October 27, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, October 28, at 2:00pm, at the funeral home with the Rev. Alex Sloter officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.

A recording will be available following the service.

Keith Elden was born on June 9, 1937, in Crawford, Nebraska, the son of Elden and Orice (Crane) Lambert. He was raised in Crawford, where he attended Crawford High School before graduating from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska.

On September 4, 1960, he was united in marriage to Shirley Ann Hennings in Davenport, North Dakota. They made their home in Hull, where Keith taught for the Boyden-Hull School District for 38 years. He also served as a Justice of the Peace of Sioux County, was a driver’s education instructor, and volunteered as an EMT on the Hull ambulance team.

Mr. Lambert was a lifelong member of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and was currently a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids. He was always willing to help others and served in many ways at Mission Central in Mapleton. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, snowmobiling, rebuilding cars, and going on family vacations annually.

Survivors include his wife of more than 63 years, Shirley, of Hull; three children, Linda, and her husband, Russ Brumbaugh, of Trimble, Missouri; Larry Lambert, and his partner, Sherri Lokhorst, of Hull; and Lee Lambert, and his wife, Tammy, of Forest City; five grandchildren, George Brumbaugh, and Zach Brumbaugh; Mitchel Lambert, and his wife, Tessa; Micah Lambert, and Karly Lambert; one great-granddaughter, Etta Brumbaugh; a sister, Mary Thompson, of Crawford; and three brothers, Paul Lambert, and his wife, Dee, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Ross Lambert, of Osh Kosh, Nebraska; and Bruce Lambert, and his wife, Sharon, of Whitney, Nebraska.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Robert McDowell and Rick Thompson.

Memorials will be given to the family for future designation.
