Sheryl K. Feller passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Monument Health Hospice at the age of 78 years. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Wednesday, March 15, at Kirk Funeral Home, 1051 E Minnesota St, Rapid City, SD. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 16, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 532 Adams St., Rapid City, SD, followed by a luncheon and inurnment at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Sheryl Goergen was born July, 1944 to Paul and Maxine Goergen in LeMars, IA. After graduating from Granville High School, Sheryl enjoyed dancing at the local dance hall where she met Dennis L. Feller in 1964. On June 11, 1966, she married her loving husband, Dennis L. Feller. As a devoted military wife, she dedicated her life towards the many challenges and exciting adventures with her husband who served in the United States Air Force. She blessed him with three children. The family moved several times enjoying each assignment while making lasting friendships. During her venture, she worked in receiving at Shopko and volunteered to assist TREA Bingo alongside her husband for several years until TREA closed.

Throughout Sheryl’s life, she was a wonderful, loving wife and mother. She continuously sought to surround herself with family and friends by bringing happiness and joy. She took pride in ensuring her children, grandchildren and dear friends had nothing but the best and she valued each moment shared with them. She faithfully served God, St. Therese Catholic Church and TREA, all while fighting her battle with cancer, lead-ing and encouraging several members of the community to stay focused on the important matters of life.

Sheryl is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ret. Sgt Dennis L. Feller of Rapid City, SD; sons: Ret. Air Force Captain Vincent A. Feller (Shaunary) of Fort Worth, TX, Ret. Army SSgt. Dennis D. Feller of Rapid City, SD, and Former AMN Curtis L. Feller (Eunice) of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren: Amber (Jeff) Kohler of Black Hawk, SD, Katie (Nick) Agin of Ruskin, FL, and Aaron Feller of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Dale Goergen, Karen (Rich) Glennie, Lynn (Gordon) Pottobaum, and Lois Paulsen; and former daughter-in-law, Christi Folkers.
